GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE CHAPEL
The Typographical Chapel of the Government Printing Oflice mustered in force last week to say good-bye to several of thoir number who are retiring on superannuation. 'I'ae father of the chapel, Mr. 11. B. van Borssum, presided. The proceedings wore opened by the singing of the National Anthem, when the Govornment Printer, Mr. M l\ Marks, presented to retiring members tokens of esteem from their fellow-craftsmen, as follow:-To Messrs. AV. C. Millar and J. Kosc, well-filled wallets j to Mr. Joseph Claridgo, a barometer and cutlery; to Mr J. 1). Dixon, a brief has. Ms. Mnrks said ho was sorry to have to pari with some of his old employees, who had been good servants, and ho wished them success in the retirement they had fully earnod. The superintendent, Sir. W A G. Skinner, in complimenting tho staff on the year's work, said ho had great pleasure in supporting the remarks of tho Government Printer, and he hoped the offico would be as successful in the forthcoming year as it had beeu m tho past. Messrs W. L. Gibson and Chares Jenkins (overseers) also made eulogistic remarks. Each of the recipients replied, acknowledging the good wishes and token* of esteem of their fc«™/.
