The city was thronged with visitors, and the procession along tho Marine Parado was witnessed by thousands. Tile outstanding feature of the arena events at Nelson Park in tho afiprnoon was; the open-air bo::ing amateur championship. The night session was ittondod by thousands of masked rovoilers, and many participated in the; lantern parado. Dancing in tho park lasted till a late hour It is raining i» day.
