« WELLINGTON AND CHRISTCHURCH . IN COMPETITION. V By Tcleeraph—Prees Association. Christchurch, December 28. This week in Christchurch competitions are being carried out between two picked teams representing the Senior Cadets in the Wellington and Christchurch areas. Each team consists of 12 Cadets, under a non-commissioned officer. The Wellington representatives are No. 32 Company (Thorndon), representing Group 5, and the Christchurch representatives are a model platoon .'representing Group 9). The first day's competition resulted:— Wellington: Squad drill, 75; rifle>.exercise», 85; physical training, "5. Christchurch: Squad drill, 55; riflo exercises, 66; physical training, 78. In a shooting competition the- scores were:—Wellington, 63; Canterbury, 88. In a basket ball match, Wellington defenied Canterbury by 7 goals,to nil.
