WATERSIDE ATHLETIC CLUB

Since the recent! boxing and gymnastic display organised by the Wellington Waterside Athletic Club, the membership of the club has risen front ttfo hundred to about sil hundred. The following pupils from _ the Petone 1 Convent School gained certificates for proficiency at the examination held •nt the Lower Hutt on November 18:—Ivy Cameron, Mollie Keating, Edna Loarmouth, Eileen Powell, Carmen Purcell, Mary' Ryder, Athol Hart, Kevin M'Carthy, Cornelius • Ryan, Frank Sullivan, and Frank Whitley. The gold medal (presented by Rev. Father Oucalv) for dux of the school was won by Mollie Keating.
