CHARGES AGAINST AMERICAN MARINES
DISPROVED ON INQUIRY. (Rec. December 19,' midnight.) Washington, 18. A naval Court of Inquiry, sent to Haiti to investigate charges that United States marines indiscriminately killed natives, has reported that there are no grounds for the charges. The Court piaised the work of the marines at Haiti, and declares that _ where unjustifiable homicides occurred, in two instances, the guilty persons wero punished.—'Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
