LLOYD V. COOK TO-NIGHT,
A keen demand is reported for seats for the Cook v. Lloyd contest to-night.. Llovd has been in town sinco Monday last, and 'many enthusiasts .have" been privileged; to'.see him in his final training work.- The opinion is that as a clever exponent Lloyd is all that can bo desired,'and'is in splendid condition. Conk arrived from. Wnnganui yesterday and'reports himself in great fettle, and confident of giving Lloyd the contest of Ids' life.'.'Proceedings' will open with the usual' amateur preliminaries. Mr. Allan Maxwell will be the referee, while Messrs. Bridge, and .Woods .will be the judges. In our. advertising columns will be found an important, notice to all ticket-holders, with a final warning to intending patrons to secure tickets, ns it, is anticipated that Ihe-hall will be inadequate to hold the larse number who are desirous of seeing the contest.'-.
