CLAIM AGAINST CROWN FOR DAMAGE FAILS.
(Rec. December 16, 5.5 p.m.) London; December 15. The Appeal Court reversed Mr. Justice Darling's decision in tho Rumanian Oilfields Company's claim, and gavo judgment in favour of the Crown, holding that thero was no agreement with tho Government to pay for the damage wrought:—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo A6sn. • TTho Rumanian Consolidated Oilfields Company, Ltd., claimed JC1.250,000 from the Qfmt, in connection with the destruction of the company's proporty in December, 1916, in order to prevent its capture by tho German*.]
