Auckland, December 16. A deputtaion from the Auckland branch of the B.S.A. executive,, consisting of Messrs. Andrews (seoretary). Scott, and Jacobs, waiiled on the Minister of "Lands (Mr. Guthrie) to-day, to bring under his notice some of tho anomaliea of the present system of immigration. Mr. Androws said that it was the omphatio opinion of his exeoutlve that Tncorrcot information was being supplied to intending immigrants by the Overseas Settlement Committco in London, .though he was sure Sir James Alien and tho High Commissioner's Offioo explained the truo situation as far as land and houses in New Zealand were conoernod.

Tho Minister, in reply said that) the matter was not altogether within his sphere, but ha would bo pleased to bring it under tb.9 notice of the Minister of Immigration (Mr. Nosworthy). He could say from bis own personal knowledge that the kttfer was anxious ■to help all classes of immigrant*, and had arranged to send to England an officer of the Department who had roceiltly been assisting in the disembarkation of. immigrants to New Zealand, It would bo his duty to keop intending setters advised of the true conditions at this end.
