Faulkner, In presenting tho annual report,. tho chairman said the outstanding featuro was the founding of the. hostel at Doiibanlc, which aimedi at housing, boys who were away , from home, and at giving them a clean, uplifting environment.. He briefly ouJined the activities of the association as presented in tho annual report, making particular reference to tho gymnasium and th'o.flne work that .was being done there. Mr Hay considered, tlmt the Y:M.C.A. should not have to make spasmodic appeals for funds, in view of the work. it was doing for tho city. The city should realise this.

' M r. W. H. Keraley thought the staff of the Y.M.C.A. should be gratified ftt the pood results of the institution's work. On tho subject of "Donbnnk," ]\[r. KersIcy said thai; tlie hostel was n city asset, And if the citizens were thoughtful of tb.o young: men of thecity, thev should'help ill keeping it going. "business man should not shelter behind.boards of directors when we ask for funds," he added. It had been said that, the association, did not provide educational, facilities, but yuch an idea was quite wrong: one.only had to_ sc-e the various sections at work to realise Hid wrong that such an imputation did to' the institution.

On .the .motion of the chairman, the report and 1 balance-sheet were adopted. Tho board of directors was elected as follows:—Messrs. W. Eglin, T. Forsyth, and Ijani'onson (re-elected), If. G. Donton, It. S. Mi,under, it. D. Grqcott, G. H. Ful--1 on, and 11. J. Thompson.
