The successful Vickers Viking" was designed by Mr. It. I\. Pearson, who also designed the famous Vickers "Vimy." It. is the result of tho experimental work that has been earned out by the aviation department of Messrs' Vickers since the armistice. It is the first machine thirned out as the result of that eperimental work, and from that point of view its cost far exceeds the amount of the prize. Fitted with landing wheels, as well as floats, the machine can alight on water and run along the beach, and tho wheels also enable it to surmount sandbanks in shallow water, which would capaizo an ordinary seaplaae. It carries five possengerp at e speed of 120 miles an iour.
