Entries received for the Dominion Bowling Association's tournament to commonco in Wellington on January 10, diacloso the (act that a new record has been established ns far ns tho rink competition is concerned, no fewer than IGO rinks (involving GlO players) having entered. This is easily tho biggest rink entry that has been received in Australasia, and it will give the'association a task to accommodate all tho players ■without inconvenience. The suburban greens will have to be fully utilised. The entries of rinks for the big tournament held in Wellington in January 1917, numbered 136 (a record at tho time), and those in Christchnrch last year totalled "There are 185 pairs entered, as against 221 last year in Christchurch, and 108 entries have been received for tho singles, as compared with 194Jast year in Chvistchurch, and 211 in Wellington »M l - „ , , r. i„„ The convenience of bowlers has been considered in arranging theproftftmmo so that no one may' waste. timoaanUng for events he is not concerned in:- Ihe rinks will be played right through before tho pairs and singles begin.
