Sir,—Will you moat kindly allow- mo to mako an appeal,to your readers re our work? For Vlie past twen'ty-;.wo years between olio hundred and sixty and one hundred and seventy picnics have been held for seafarers on the general holidays of tho year; picnics that have he>come possiblo, wet or fine, through the courtesy of (ho Press and the kindness of the public. We hope, as usual, to arrange for picnics for the strangers within our gates on Christmas, Boxing, New' Tear, and Anniversary Days, and should deem it a-great favour"if your many readers.-would aid us with gilts in money or kind.
