TT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED for publio x information that it is proposed to make inquiries during the recess with a view to revising tho Customs Tariff during the session of 1921. All persons making contracts for tho delivery of Imported goods, either subject to duty or which may become subject to duty, should protect themselves either—(l) By introducing therein a claußO governing posaiblo change of duty; or (8) by giving immediate notice where contracts are already in force, or where there are running contracts, that, in the event of alteration of the duty, the provisions of Section 130 of tho Customs Aot, 1913, must apply. It is proposed to amend this Section to cover alteration not only in the liability of goods to duty or tho rate of duty, but also in the amount of duty.
