FIGHTING "FIRE BLIGHT"
AN ORCHARDIST FINED. Br Telograi'h—Press Association Tauranga, December 2, Tn the Magistrate's Court to-day a local orchardist was fined .£2 and costs for failing to comply with a notice to deal with "fire blight." Mr. L. Pay liter orchard instructor, stated that it was the first case of the kind in tho Dominion. The Magistrate stated that ho was satisfied the defendant had done a groat deal of work, but still he had not complied with the notice.
