Tho House of Lords, by 120 votes to 36, amended the Homo Rule Bill by creating second chambers, for both North and South Ireland, despite Lord Birkenhead's protests that no second chamber could be devised which would not destroy tho representative character of the fust chamber. Viscount Midlcton, the Earl of Sel"borno, ami the Marquess of Growo opposed the Amendment. Lord Birkenhead later said their Lordships hail made a big hole in tho Bill. Tho Labour Commission of Inquiry lias arrived in Dublin. Medical evidence at the military inquiry respecting the Macrown ambush disclosed Hint in some cns.es death was due to explosive bullets, in others the body .was scorched by powder.
