J he firemen in Liverpool remained on duty for thirty hours, resolved to prevent the extension of the damage, which is estimated to run into millions. THE MURDER OF WARD
SINN FEINER ARRESTED ON CHARGE. London, November 29. A man was arrested on Saturday evening in Liverpool and charged with tlio murder of Daniel Ward. He refused to give his name or address, but admitted that he was an Irish Sinn Feiner, Ho was found in 'possession of a pencil sketch of Hie premises where, the fires occurred.—Aus.-N.ii. Cablo Assn. THE LONDON ATTEMPT SUSPECT DEMANDED. London, November 29. William Robinson, who was arrested at Finsbury, was remanded in custody. The- military authorities in Londonderry have been informed that a number of Irish-American "gunmen" have arrived there. Certain officers have received notices threatening them with a fate like that of the officers who wcro recently assassinated in Dublin unless they leave Ireland. Another.story states that American "gunmen" were landed from motorboats in North Wales and took part in the Liverpool outrages.—Renter. MILITARY OTSING OUT DUBLIN THREE HUNDRED ARRESTS IN A WEEK. Four men of high rank in the RepuliUcan army, named Keys, Cotter, Donegan, and J. Sullivan, were captured outside Bantry owing to a motor-car breaking down. The military chanced to come on the scone. Sinn Feiners ambushed a party of "Black and Tuns" at Kilmichaol, County Cork. They killed fifteen; another is dying, and on© is missing. A later message states that the "Black and Tans" were wiped out by a hundred armed men. Seventeen left Mnc.room on Sunday afternoon on patrol .duty, and were ambushed at 10.30 at night. BRIGADE FIRED ON. (Dec. November 30, 7.55 p.m.) London, November 29. A military party raided Clare Lunatic Asylum. One of the inmates did not obey an order to halt, and was shot dead.
