RIFLE SHOOTING

KAKOTiI CLUB. Members of the Karori Fiiflo Club fired the first match of the second series at Trentham last Saturday, at ranges of 500 and 600 yards, 10 shots at each range. The match took place under ideal weather conditions, and' a good mustT of club members turned out. but a 1 ijjht and variable wind at 000 yards made shooting rather difficult. Hdinn. H. V. Crouton, the New Zealand rifle c-hamnion, made his first appearance'on the Trentham range since his return from England and Australia, and was accorded a hearty welcome by his club mates. Pflmn. J.
