EVANS BEATS UREN. Br Tolcsrn'.ili—Press Association. Dunedin, November 25. A fifteen-round professional contest between Ilavilah Uren (9st. 6lb. and "Digger" Evans (Dst. 31b.) was foucht in His Majesty's Theatre to-night before a very Inrge attendance for a purse of £-2&0. The light went the full distance, each man showing marked cleverness. Uren hnd advantage of height and roach, and showed to advantage at infighting, but Evnns evened matters with his tricky footwork. Tho points were evenly divided, but the referee's decision in favour of Evans was a popular one.
