» (Roc. November 22, 0.40 a.m.) London, November 20.. Tho wool sales havo closed. Ninety thousand bales were offered, and over half were withdrawn. Best merinos were in small supply, and were taken by the Continent and the United States, at considerably above, the Homo trade's idea of their value. Medium and average maintained tho opening lerel, and closed with a slightly firmer tone. Carbonising and clothing wool was erratic, ; and was mostly withdrawn. Crossbred* sold poorly, and were generally 20 to 25 per cent, below last sales. They were largely withdrawn owing to the high Government reserves, though bidding improved slightly towards the close. The snme applies io slipes and 6coureds, the bulk of which was withdrawn, except fine sorts, which sold at 10 per cent, below Ootober values. Lambs' wool declined 10 to 15 per cent.—Aus.-N.Z.
