ANNUAL SPOUTS MEETING. . The annual sports of the Wellington Girls' Collego was held at ICelburn Park yesterday afternoon, and much interest was taken in the various events by the onlookers. No time was lost in getting off each race, and with only a slight wind blowing the {rirls found the conditions pleasant. Members of the staff assisted with the judging, and at the end of the afternoon the prizes were awarded the winners by Mrs. W. Ward, wife of the chairman of tho Board of Governors. Cheers were given for Mr. nnd Mrs. Ward by the. girls, and also for the officials. The prize-list is as follows:— Senior chiuHvion, Sybil Swinburne, It points; runner-up, Gwen Hawthorne; threo girls tied with 3 points each, and a race was run off, won by G. Hawthorn.
