WOOL PRICES
BE OP AT SYDNEY & MELBO URNE SALES. Sydney, November 17. The wool sales are weaker, l and showed a drop of . r > to 10 per cent, for good and super sorts, and 10 to 15 per cent, for faulty wools.—Press Assn. Melbourne, Novembor 17. The wool sales are dull, and prices have dropped by from 10 to 50 per cent, below those of the first series. Some faulty topmaking lots failed •to elicit a bid—Press Assn.
BETTER DEMAND IN LONDON. (Bco. November 17. 5.5 p.m.) London, November 16. At to-day's wool fialo a rather bettor demand provailed. with fewer withdrawals. Tho reserves for were lowered, but tlinso for combing merinos are still too high. Prices generally arc unchanged.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London office under dato November 16:—'"Wool salea oontinue rather more active for merino combing owing to Government limit reduced ami withdrawal less. For crossbred, no improvement, 'fair demand by Continent for short faulty merinos."
