Tho beef breeds of cattle'wore well represented, and the dniry breeds were never shown in such numbers or to such advance on the Wanganui show ground. Iho majority of the entries wero in the pink of condition. One pleasing, feature of Hie display was the fine type of bulls that came forward. , There was fairly keen competition In almost every class for cattle, hut particular Interest was evinced in tho Friesian division and the selection of tho champion bull. Tho two closest competitors were tho Bloomfleld Farm Co., .of Wellington, and the Ccntaal Development Farm, Weraroa,'who each had entered the best their holdings could produce. The Wellington bull is a striking-looking animal with great length, and big hindquarters, while the Government-owned animal is deeper In .tho rib, with r. .beautiful glossy ekln. A.t the Hasting; show the champion rib' bon was placed round the neck fjH the Wellington sire, but at Palmcrston tlio Bloomfleld Farm Co.'s Bentwood Domino Dutchland was displaced )w tho Central Development Farm's Woodcresl Piebe Mercedes. Each, bull having a win to its credit, the meeting to-<lay was fraught with groat interest and ivfier mature consideration the judge (Mr. B. Gray) awarded the championship to the Bloomfleld Farm Co.'s exhibit. JShorthoinsy Jerseys, Aberdeen Angus, H'erefords. AyrsFiia-es, Milking Shorthorns, grades, and fat cattle had good representation in practically every class. Tho fat cattlo were in great nick, the chief exhibitors being W. Peat (Wanganui), T. A. Duncan (Eongotenl, Hugh Middleton (Waverley), A. T. Willis. (Hawera), and Wyley Bros.; rfnd every one of them had a share of tho prizes offored.

Shepn, like cattle, were well ahead of last year's entries, in fact, they easily constituted n record. Morgan, 1; G. A. M'Doueal. 11. Other Sections. Thoro was a fair entry of pigs, but the only exhibitor was Mrn. J. Wall, of Hastings. She swept tho board of prizes. Including nil tho championships. Dogs are a strong featnro of the show, and it is claimed that tho Wanganui Cnnino Society's annual exhibition is the largest of its kind in tho Dominion.
