, The swimming season* at Worser Hay was declared open on Saturday afternoon by Mr. R. A. Wright, M.l'., the palvun of the Worser Bay (Jlub, before a thir attendance of .members and friends. In the course of his remarks, Mr. Wright mentioned that now that Miramar had decided to amalgamate with the city the Worser Bay beach would conic under the control of tho Beaches and Baths Committee of tho City Council, nnd liu felt sure that swimming would bo catered for out there tho same as had been done at Lyall Bay and Island Bay. Mr. Wright apologised for the unavoidable absence ol .Mr. "\V. H. Green, the president of tho club, and Jlr. Stone, Mayor of lliraniar. During tho afternoon, tea was provided by the Indies' committee, and was much appreciated. The following are the results of races hold during too afternoon:— 50yds. Open Hondicnp.—H.
