M. CAMBON'S SUCCESSOR. (Kec. November 11, 11.5 p.nO London, Novotnber 13 . Count de Saint Aulnive, M. Paul Cnrnbon's successor, is aged fifty-four, and is tho grandson of M. Saint Aulaire. who wag Ambassador in London in IS4I to 1818, at tho time of the first Entente Cordiale. He is described as'.one of the most aristocratic figures in . the French diplomatic service, a man with a, modern mind, outspoken, and anxious to keep in touch with all forms of public and social life. His appointment is hailed with satisfaction in both countries— Aub.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [It was announced a few days ago that M. Cambon, who has been French Ambassador in London since 1695, would retire early in 1921, on tho ground of ago and failing health.]
