INCREASE IN PRICE OF GAS
The Wellington Gas Company has decided upon another increase in the price of gas. This timo tho increase will be sd. per thousand, making the new rata Bs. 9d. net. - The increase will apply to all gas accounts rendered after December 15 next. The present is the second increase made this year, and tho sixth increase since tho outbreak of the war. The pre-war price was ss. per thousand, and subsequent, increases have been made as follow: April, 1917, to fls. 5d.; October, 1917, to Gs. Bd.; February, 1919, to 7s. Id.; August, 1919, to 7s. Cd.; August, 1920, to Bs. 4d.' ; December, 1920, to Bs, 9d. -
