SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
On Armistice Day, nftcr the singing of "Eternal Father" (ind prayer at tho concert given by ICcnt Torraco Church Glee Club, under tho baton of Mr. J. W. Jack, at the Sailors' Friend Society, the audience stood in silence at the salute in memory of our glorious dead who died for us on sea and land. Groat applause followed the efforts of the Glee Club, the Misses Julian, Gndier. Tolly, Simm, Milligan, nnd M'Donald, and Messrs. Dow, Scott, Irwin, Chartress, Cornell, Aylett. Robinson and Lessinglon Hospitality was extended to the guests by the host, who, in conjunction with jlrs. Barrett, provided tho prizes for the competitions, which wont to the Tninui, I'ort Augusta, and Corinthic. Opportunity was taken to make a presentation to Miss E. Williams, n worker, who is leaving for Nelson. Mr. Moore, misBionori responded for Mies Williams.
