SYSTEM 1 DISCOVERED IN AUCKLAND By Tcleeranli—Prwi Aaioclition. Auckland, November 6 Arrests were effected yesterday of soveu men and n woman on charges of theft and receiving stolen goods. 'j| le arrests are the result of investigations' made by the police following a complaint from the proprietor of a clothing establishment that goods had boon missed from his shop. Early investigations involvcd the employees of a number of retail business establishments. Of the men arrested three were employed in a clothing establishment in Syinomis Street, one in a similar establishment in Qiiccn Street' one in a boot retailer's shop in Queen Street, one in a. butchery at Kingsland. The woman is the wifeot ono of tho men under arrest. In is stated by tho detectives that tho charges are the result of the discovery of n widespread system of exchange of stolen goods. Moused appeared at the Police Court this horning, and were remanded until Friday.
