r*Several tenders have been accepted by the Public AVorks Tenders Board for tho si.pply of plana for the Lake Coleridge hydro-electric scheme and its extension. The following were the successful tenderers:—'Watt meters: British General Electric Company, price ,£1036 10s. Ironbaik pbles: J. Wallace (Wellington), ,£4-132 10$, for 850 polos. (These are for the extension of the current \V> Timaru.) Lightning conductor: National Electric Company, price .£295. Switch boards: Tolley and Son (Wellington), price .£722. Air compressors: Richardson, M'Cabe, and Company (Wellington), one at 5559 dollars, and E. W Mills and Company (Wellington), two at 4723 dollars. Oil engine and pump unit.: Booth, Macdonald, and Company (Christhhurch),. price .£3ll. In addition to the aßove supplies, tho following tenders have been accepted l for tho supply of steaiu-sliovels for uso on various works which are being carried out 'by the Government.
