CANTERBURY GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKET

By Toleitriirh—Press Association. Christchurch, November 2.. The produce market is quieter all round than it was this time last week, and there are, except for potatoes, no alterations in" prices. Potatoes are unsaleable, and with new crops beooming available in tho North Island, it is now almost impossible to place old stocks. Last week potatoes were quoted at from £1 ss. to .£1 10s. per ton, but to-day the price reported by merchants was £1 to £1 2s. fid., and even then sales were few. Then; has been very little doing in oats, and all tho wheat has long since been marketed. The chalf market is dull, and none has been offered during the last fj;w days.
