V AMENDING BILL INTKODTJCED. When the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill was introduced in the House last night, the Minister of Labour (Sir William Hemes) said that the measure contained chiefly small amendments. It had nothing wry important in ify He proposed to move the second reading pro forma, and have the Bill referred tp the Lalbour Bills Committee. There was no alteration of policy proposed. The clauses mostly made Departmental amendments that had to be put through this session. Mr. P. Eraser (Wellington Central): Is there any dcnthibod ropentiuiqa on Uic "one bijr union" question? The Minister: There is an attempt to meet thu objection regarding tho Dominion award.
