ARMISTICE DAY
TWO MINUTES' SILENCE TO BE OBSERVED. London,' November 1. In the House of Commons the Premier (Mr. Lloyd George) announced that two minutes' silonee on the morning of Armistice Day would be observed throughout the kingdom. All work would cease. This period of silonco would provnil, if possible, throughout the whole Empire — Aus.-N.Z. Cable A*sn. SYDNEY'S OBSERVANCE OF THE ANNIVERSARY. Sydney, November 2. Tho anniversary of the armistice will be observed by religious sorvices, and the public ia'i specially requested to cease work and observe silence for two minutes at 11 o'clock. —Press Assn.
