The voting was: For closing, 260; against olosing, 102. In, conscquenco of tho ballot tho managers of tho workshops posted a notice that*, the shops would bo closed from Saturday, November 0, at noon, till the morn-' ius of Monday, November 15. It is stated that the minority are dissatisfied with tho result, many married ' men being reluctant to lose a weeks wagee. It is understood that the loss of wages to the Addington workers through tile week's holiday will bo about ! 33000., Work, however, will be provided for some of the hands. Later. It appears that'the holiday in the Addington railway workshops for Carnival Week has been a oustom for some yean past. Tho men are entitled to a certain amount of annual leave, they OTefor : to take part of it in a Carnival Week holiday.
