The Council of the League of Nations, in an effort to settle the Polish-Lithuan-ian dispute owing to the Polish occupation oi Viliw, has requested tho two Governments concerned to agree to a plebiscilo under the control of tho League, whereby the inhabitants of the disputed territory will be able to signify whether they belong to Poland or Lithuania. All troops will be withdrawn during the plebiscite. Tho Council requests Ilia Polish and Lithuanian Governments to stato whether they will agree to this proposal within ton days from to-day.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Aesn.
