MIRAMAR AFFAIRS
MEETING OF THE GOUXCIL.
The Mirnmar' Borough Council met on Tuesday. There were present, tho Mayor (Mr. S. M. Stone), Councillors A. K. Kobertshaw, .1. E. Barnett, W. Telford, and Mrs, A. M'Vicnr.
In regard to the proposed construction of a tennis court in (he borough.' the estimated' cost of which is .{2OO, a denntation from' the Miramar .Sports Club waited on the council, suggesting that the court should be- renteti for a term of years' at a fixed percentage. The deputation intimated that it was prepared to find guarantors'for the rental, and it wanted to know on vhat conditions the court could be uwid.
The Mayor said l (he question would have to bo gone into carefully, but the council wanted to ltnow whether the eluli. cottld snJwsnribts' anything towards the cost.
