TRADING IN OPOSSUM SKINS
The Animals Protection 'Amendment Bill was put through Committee in the Council yesterday. The measure provides that persons mny "be licensed to take and kill opossums and to trade in opossum skins. The Council adopted an amendment making it necessary for opossum hunters to o u :ain the authority of ah officer of the State before taking opossums in the State forests,
The Bill was read a third time nwl 'passed.
The Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment. Bill was yesterday passed by tlie Legislative Council.
The Health Bill was recommitted in the Legislative Council yesterday, so that two very slight amendments might be made in it. It was then rer.d a third time and passed.
