MARTIAL LAW IN RUMANIA
COUNTERBLAST TO STRIKE PRO'CLAMATION. Bucharest, October 24. A general strike has been proclaimed in Rumania. The Government, as a counterblast, proclaimed _ martial law, closiug up the trade union offices, and arrisied the pro-Soviet deputies. The general strike had only partial effect.— Reuter.
