TRAIN AND TRAM FARES
INCREASES IN SYDNEY. (Rec. October 26, 10.10 p.m.) Sydney, October 26. In order' to meet the additional expenditure involved in the new basic wage, and the increased cost of coal and other railway freights and fares will be increased 16 2-3 per cent., and the tramway fares proportionately, with a minimum of twopence for any single section.—Press Assn.
