LAND AGENTS' ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING.
The seventh annual meeting of the members of the Land Agents* arid Aiictioneers* Association of Wellington (incorpora ted) was held last evening in tht Accountants' Chambers. Mr. S.. Harcoiirt (president) was in the chair, and there was just a quorum present. Tho annual renort and accounts, at. printed, were submitted, and tho_ chairman, in rnovin? their adoption, said that it had been found difficult to Ret thi ■police to take action against unlicensed, land apients: still, they manned to gel one conviction. He referred to the new land Aunts' Bill, which, in all prolinWlitv, would be introduced this session. He also made reference to the Hou6in» Bill, and stated that a deputation from the association waited upon the Ministei of labour and pointed out the hardship.s inflict"! on landlords and property owners. The finances, he stated, were m i Fatisfaetory condition, the accumulated fund now being over' -EU7. He thought the association was doins Rood by lmnrovinK - tho status of land wents, and h" honed that more of the agents would join the association. Thp report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows—President, Mr. S. Fnreonrt: vicepresidents, Messrs. G. A. Treece and P. Hoikkins; committee, Messrs. F. J- Mott. .1. Vine, -T. Pairbuni,. aii'i P. H. If.
