NEGOTIATIONS FOR SALE TO BEL- . GIUM ABANDONED. . (R*o. October 23, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 22. The negotiations between Mr. J. D. Connolly (Western Australian Agent-Gen-eral) and the Belgian Government for (lie sale of tlie balance of the Western Australian frozen meat have been abandoned, under direction of the Western Australian Government, owing to the difficulty of getting refrigerated steamers, also because it is not desired to disturb the contract with tho Imperial Government. The Belgian Government has intimated that it is anxious to reopen negotiations next year.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
