It is understood that the country party is framing an amendment Tho Senate has passed the Bill increasing the Federal income tax by 5 per cent—Press Assn. (Rec. In tho Hou6o of Representatives, Mr. Gregory, on behalf of the Country Party, moved an amendment to Mr, Tudor's censure motion, to tho effect that the Government having guaranteed ss. a bushel-for wheat should arrange payment by cash, provided the world's parity was secured for all wheat; including that for local consumption.—Press Aesu. It shows the estimated revenue at ,£7,501,000, expenditure at .£7,500,838, and surplus; at i' 3162.
