INVITATION TO AUSTRALIAN TEAM.

At. a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Cricket Association tonight, it was dccidcd to write to the Australian Board of Control asking it if it could arrange tor an Australian team to visit New Zea laud this season, the tour to commence about the first week in February, and tho team to contain two or three players of international repute. The council would pay all hotel and travelling expenses, and allow each player live shillings a day out-of-pocket expenses. SATURDAY'S FIXTURES. Third A.—Thomdou v. Murray, Roberts.
