The prices obtained were equal to from 725. Oil. to 755. per 1001b. Spring lambs were hlso in short supply, and met with keen competition. Good porkers wero also very dear:

Fat Cattle.—A small yardins, numbering 158, of poor quality. Tho demand for good quality, which was short of requiremouts, was oxcitod, and a sharp advanco of from 30s. to Jss. a head took place. Prime billlocks realised from £27 10s. to £33 10a.; medium, £22 10s. to £26 10s.; lieht and unfinished kinds, £16 upwards. Extra prime heavy-weight, heifers realised up to £31 2s. 6d.; prime, £22 10s. to £27 7s. - 6d.; medium, £17 to £21; light and aged from £12 upwards.. Store Cattle—A goud number were scut forward for to-day s Bales, a fair proportion being good sorts. For all animals showing breeding and good condition the demand was brisk at enhanced values, up to £17 a head being obtained. Dairy Cattle.—Thero was a medium yarding, and competition wan keen for good cows, the prices realised being up to £26 10s. , . Sliecp.-A good yarding (2438) of fair quality. Tho wile opened briskly '! last week's rates, but towards tho end competition became lobs animated, and there was a decrease <>f 1»■ 6rt. a head in values. Extra prime heavy-weight wethers brought up to 615.; prime, 51s. to 58s. 9d.; medium, <Ms. to 50<,: light and unfinished, from 38s! up. Extra prime heavy-weight ewes realised up to 635.; prime, 41s. to 505.; medium, 38s. to 425. 6(1.; light and aged, from 28s. upwards.

Seventeen spring lambs of medium quality were yarded, and all sold under spiritcil competition at from Jla. 3d. to 57b. 6u. a, head. ' Pigs—A medium yarding mis offered, tho majority being bacontrs. Porkers met with a good demand at firmer prices, while baeoncrs were quoted a sliado weaker than last week's rates, llest baconera realised from Is. to Is. lOd. per lb., and beet porkers from Is. lid. to la. 3d. per lb.
