EXPLOSION IN COALMINE
OVER FOUR HUNDRED .LABOURERS KILLED. (Rec. October 21, 8.45 p.m.) Peking, October 20. An explosion and fire in the Tongshan coalmine, Chi-li province, killed moro than 422 labourers. It is bolieved that the Workers' tampering with Bafotjylamps caused the explosion. Smoke caused most of the deaths.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
