t MAIN PHASE OP OPERATIONS ENDED. (Kec. October 21, 8.45 p.m.) London, October 20. A. Mesopotamia communique statfs:— The main phase of the operations has ended. The railways have been restored and blockhouses erected along 500 miles of line, and 460 women and 400 children have been brought to safety. Since June 1 there have been 41G killed, 1119 wounded, and 155 prisoners taken. There are 473 missing,— Cable Assn. ' « CASUALTIES DURING SIEGE OP lOJFA; Simla, October 20. A message from Bagdad dated October 19 states: Tho garrison at Ivufa consisted of 513 men, of the 108 th Infantry. During the siege the 108 th had nine men killed; two missing, and seventeen wounded. The relieving force yesterday had eleven casualties. Our troops, esspecially the cavalry, inflicted heavy casualties on tho insurgents. Pour h\iij,dredi were taken prisoner, of whom sev-■enty-fleven were detained.—Renter.
