fr. PROSPECTS OF THE PARTIES LIQUOR REFERENDUM . CAMPAIGN (By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright (Rec. October 18, 8.10 p.m., Melbourne, October 18. Simultaneously with the general election, tho liquor referendum will be taken, the issues being continuance, reduction, or abolition. Ench of the 217 electoral districts into which tho State ' has been divided will decide its own fate. Both sides have made the campaign a stiff one, and ca'ch predicts victory. In the political arena the Nationalists anticipate getting back with a good working majority, though possibly the Fanners' Party will secure two or three ■ and the Labour Party one or two extra seats.—Press Assn.
