Before a large audience ill the Opera House to-night George Cook (12st. llilb.) boat Fritz Holland (list, 41b.) in the seventh round. By the sixth round Holland had jwrcsptibly tired, and in the seventh Cook continued his forcing tactics and brought several smashing' blows to the face. This eventually forced Holland helpless on to the ropes, and the referee awarded the fight to Cook. < Other contests resulted as follow:— Middleweight: J; Waller, Palmerston North (lOst-.j, beat Cyril Knight, Feeding (10st. Clb.); W. Davis. Palmerston North (list. 71b.), beat Martin Lysnar, Wairoa (list.). ■Featherweights: Noble Clinton, Palmerston North (Bst. 41b.), threw in the towel to Fletcher Humphries (9st. 41b.) after a lively scrap; B. O'Keefe, Palmerston North (list. 101b.), beat Thomas, Wauganui (lOst. 41b.), after a very fast and exciting battle going to the end of the sixth round.
