i\ deputation representing the temporary Civil Servants' Aa-rocintion was introduced to tho Prime Minister by Dr. A. K Newman, M.P., yesterday. ' Messrs. R. A. Wright, M.P., and 6. Mitchell, M.P.. wore also present. Tho members of the deputation made a clear statement of their claims and grievances. The Prime Ministor, in reply, advised the temporary employees to present a petition to Parliament, eo that tho mirations raised might be thoroughly sifted, bv a committee of tho House. At tho ovening sitting of tho House Dr. Newman presented a petition of the kind suggested. Tho question will come up for discussion after evidenco has been taken by a committee and a report made to tho House.
