MANY HANDS DISCHARGED. (Reo. October 3, midnight.) * London, October 3. A thousand dockers have been discharged at Liverpool owing to many ship* being diverted to Continental ports. In Lancashire 150,000 looms are ldlo, aad five hundred women and girls in ropeworks at Sunderland have been discharged owing to excessive costs of production and consequent lack of ordors. —Aus.-N.Z.
