WEEK-END ACCIDENTS
■ 9GIG AND MOTOR-CAR COLLIDE. Three accident cases were admitted to tho Wellington Hospital during the weekend. Injuries received as the result of a collision between a motor-car and a &ig» about a mile beyond the railway cresting of the Hutt Road, Petone, led to the removal to tho hospital of Messrs. Croft and Hussekinson, of Petone, Mr. Hussekinson suffering from ft serious fracture of the leg and Mr. Croft from extensive abrasions on the head and face. It, appears that on Saturday evening tlw two men were proceeding to the hospital on business, when a motorcar collided with the rear of the gig, of which they were tho occupants. Both men were thrown to the ground by the force of tho collision, and the gig was completely smashed. The hor69 received injuries which resulted in its death a feiv minutes after the accident. The occupants of the motor-car were unhurt, aud.it is believed that tho car itself was not damaged. Both the injured men are now progressing satisfactorily. While cycling at Petone on Saturday Miss A. Lindey injured one of her feet and was removed to the hospital late that night. The accident occurred through the bicycle skidding.
