Last evening members of the crews of )• the Home linerß Rjmpehu and Athenlc gave a concert at the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, iu aid of the local Hospital. There was a vo.ry good attendance, and >. the programme presented was bright and , attractive and fully appreciated by tho V audience. A sketch written and produced . by Mr. H.. S. Buckingham, of the Ruft' pehu, and acted by "The liuapeliu-ena," consisting of Messrs. 0. Jnmiceon, W. J. Woolley, E. Lawless, G. Wagstaffe, and ? I. Nicholls, was one of the best items of • tho evening, while a sketch by Bcntlcy and Mace, of tho Athenlc. was so appreit dated that tho performers wcro recalled several times. The singing of Mr. R. James, electrician of tho Ituapehu. was d a feature of the evening's entertainment. The following also contributed items :- Messrs. H. S. Buckingham (Ruapehu). E. Adlington (dame comedian), T. Ridge (Athenlc), Joss (Athenic). and T. Tickle (Athenlc). The entertainment waß organised by Mr. W. J. Woolley, and tb« success of the evening was largely due to e his efforts and those of Mr. H. W.
